


Sheffield Black Drugs Service, based in Heeley, has been in existence for 10 years. The organisation delivers an advice, information and support service to Black and Minority Ethnic drug users. It offers support to family and friends of Drug users and those at risk of taking drugs. Education and training programmes underpin their work; courses are offered to the community and agency staff alike. The last two years have seen the service consolidate its activities as well as planning for the future. Led by and experienced Management Committee and a highly qualified staff team the organisation has three strands of work which include
- Prevention and engagement work with young people
- Coordinating volunteering opportunities
- BME Prisoner engagement working with offenders who come from across south
Yorkshire.
