Castle Asian Community Trust, Based in the Manor and Castle area, is a company limited by guarantee, with Charity trust Status pending. This dynamic group is fairly new on the Social Enterprise Scene in Sheffield. However in a very short space of time its management Committee members have demonstrated an exceptional ability to achieve notable outcomes. Having raised £120,000 from within the Asian Community to buy the former co-op Building in the Manor and Castle area, they now plan to embark on an ambitious programme of restoration of the building for use by everyone in the Sheffield community.

The group has a strong multicultural and diversity theme to their planned activities. Their new building has extensive gardens surrounding a 10 room house. The venue includes 3 large meeting rooms, one of which can accommodate up to 100 people. The group is keen to engage in Education and training projects, Health education for women, Youth Activities, Lunch Clubs for the Elderly, Mother and Toddler groups, Pre School and After School Clubs.

Matrec is a Vol/Com sector organisation, company and charity.  With 20 years experience of delivery accredited education and training to 19+ adults and the Manor Castle wards of Sheffield.  Matrec have held a contract with LSC core funds for 9 years and FEFC before that.
